Biography

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Florida, Majoring in Biology (pre-professional track), with the aim of pursuing an MD/PhD degree. I am interested in learning about host-microbiome interactions, and their association with human disease pathogenesis. I am learning experimental techniques for testing hypotheses, and methods for analyzing results. I joined Jobin lab in October 2017, and already my time here has been an enlightening journey! I expect to get extensive research experience that will help me in my passion for research and help me grow educationally and personally in ways that may consolidate my future career as an MD/PhD. I am mainly responsible for genotyping the lab’s mice lines, as well as assisting all of the post-doctoral associates, graduate students and lab staff in their experiments.
