About Peter V Draganov
I am board certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine with over two decades of practice. I treat patients for various conditions, including pancreaticobiliary diseases, gastrointestinal cancer and advanced therapeutic endoscopy. My areas of interests are achalasia, colorectal cancer, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, pancreatic cancer and stomach cancer. My extensive years of experience and dedication have led me to receive many awards such as Best Doctors in America, Exemplary Teacher Award within the University of Florida College of Medicine and National Quality Week Shands Star Award for my exceptional empathy and compassion/advocacy in interactions with patients.
My training began at the Medical University of Sofia in Bulgaria, where I received my medical degree. Shortly after, I relocated to the U.S., where I completed both my internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. I have published an extensive amount of research in gastroenterology journals. In addition to my research, I have received several grants.
I currently practice at UF Health Digestive Disease Specialists, UF Health Endoscopy Center and UF Health Shands Endoscopy Suite.
